Your accommodation in Hokkaido is a modest 5 bedroom house in Kyogoku, just 20 minutes from multiple resorts, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Onsen spa.

Large lounge room for resting after big days riding. Not the full Japanese experience. as we have comfortable western style beds and furniture to make the most of your rest time.

Also a drying room for all your gear and a bouldering room for all the climbers out there.

I signed up for this tour for the end of January 2020, and I’m SO glad that I did! Aside from the super competitive pricing of the tour, Simon and Soul Tours showed me everything Japan had to offer!

Simon has been going on his 7th or 8th year snowboarding in and around Niseko, so he knows the resorts, side country and back country like the back of his hand.

He was super knowledgeable about snow conditions, avalanche danger and where to find the best powder on any given day! I never felt in any danger when hiking for the best powder turns, even in his secret powder stash locations! Aside from finding the best snow, Simon showed me the best of Niseko and the surrounding areas, taking me to his favorite ramen and Japanese food locations, snowboard shops and bars.
It was a good time!

Lodging was excellent and comfortable as well. If I had to do it all over again, hands down I would be choosing Soul Tours.

Thanks again Simon!!

Late change of plans had us find this gem on happenstance, and our group couldn’t have been happier.

To be clear, this probably isn’t right if you’re looking for a romantic getaway or ritzy boutique hotel experience, but if your in Japan for the japow! And have a group that wants to get after it, I couldn’t say there’s a better way to go. Simon is a great host and guide.

I gained a friend/mate on this trip, and will be back to visit.
